Stanchion, barrier and carpet rentals in Montreal
- Not in the catalogue? Ask anyway

What we rent
Five collections, and most events need more than one of them. However they combine, it stays a single quote and arrives on a single vehicle.

Belt stanchions
A weighted post in black or polished chrome, carrying 8 ft of belt. The working post: registration, check-in, and any lane that has to be redrawn part-way through the day.

Rope stanchions
Gold, black or polished chrome, carrying 5 ft velvet rope. The dressed post, for the entrance everybody photographs.

Carpet runners
Five colours, two widths, and a cut made to the real length of the walk. Indoors or out.

Barriers
Galvanized sections for site edges, stage surrounds and closed streets — the answer as soon as a crowd is going to lean on whatever is holding it.

Accessories
Rope without posts, toppers that mount on a belt stanchion, and free-standing sign stands.

Why Stanchions Montreal
Three things that decide most orders
What we will build for you, who we are set up to work with, and how far we will carry it. Everything else is detail.
Not in the catalogue? Ask anyway
Every event arrives with constraints of its own. Describe yours and we build the order around them: a precise combination of equipment, an unusual quantity, or a setup thought through for the space you have. And if what you are after is not in the catalogue at all, write anyway — explain what the event needs and we will see what can be done.
We know how corporate clients and marketing agencies work
Most of what we do is for corporate clients and marketing agencies, which means the demands of a professional event are familiar. Clear quotes, somebody who answers, equipment that adapts to what the brief imposes: the rental stays a simple thing to manage in the middle of everything else.
Canada-wide orders are welcome
We work with clients right across the country and can supply event equipment wherever the event is held. Whether it is here in Quebec or in another province, send through the details and we will arrange the equipment and the logistics.
Our equipment in action
The same posts, ropes, runners and barrier sections that would turn up on your own order, shown doing the job they are rented for.

How it works
Four steps, from the request through to collection. What a quote is built from is explained on the quotes page.
Send a request
Three things get it started: when, what and where. Only the email field is required — everything else can follow.
We quote back
An itemised quote covering everything you asked for, with delivery worked out against your address and the size of the order.
Your order is reserved
Paying in full is what holds the equipment for your dates. Until that point it is still available to somebody else.
We deliver and collect
It reaches the venue inside your access window, and we come back for it afterwards. Having our crew set out and strike is optional on any order.
Who we work with
Events, in every shape Quebec runs them. The equipment is the same throughout; what changes is how much of it, and where it goes.
Brand activations and product launches
A door that holds, a walked route past the thing being launched, and a clean frame for the photographs.
Festivals, concerts and live shows
Barrier on the perimeter and aluminium across the stage front, belt stanchions inside the fence for gates, bars and accreditation.
Corporate events and conferences
Registration that clears before the keynote, and lanes labelled so delegates sort themselves out before they reach a desk.
Galas and award nights
A runner from the door, posts either side of it, and an entrance that still reads well an hour after the doors open.
Film and TV shoots
Holding areas, press lines and public routes kept off the working set, on posts that stay unobtrusive on camera.
Weddings and private functions
The arrivals walk, the ceremony aisle, and a rope colour chosen to suit the room rather than argue with it.
Common questions
Can you supply a large event?
Send the numbers with your enquiry and availability is confirmed in writing before you commit to anything. Stanchions, barriers and carpet runners are all held here in Montreal rather than ordered in, and an order in the hundreds is an ordinary size for us rather than an exception.
Do you take orders from individuals?
Both. Agencies and production companies make up the bulk of the work, but an evening organised by one person runs on exactly the same equipment, the same quote and the same delivery. No company name is needed to ask.
Can equipment be held before the date is confirmed?
We will tell you what is free and quote it, but nothing leaves the pool until the order is paid in full — that payment is the moment it is assigned to your dates. Booking early matters for exactly that reason, especially around the dates that fill: gala season, the spring and summer weddings, and the December corporate evenings.
What if our numbers change after we book?
Tell us as soon as you know and the quote is redone. Numbers moving between enquiry and event is the norm rather than the exception — plans shift, guest lists grow, a room gets swapped — and adjusting an order in advance is far easier than solving it at the venue on the day.
What colours does each product come in?
Rope stanchion posts come in three — gold, black and polished chrome — with the rope end caps matched to the post. Belt stanchion posts come in two: black, and polished chrome. Carpet runners come in five colours.
